A rock garden is commonly known as the alpine garden or rock garden. It is a kind of small garden or field where rocks or rocks are used on some plants to create an alpine or rocky environment. Occasionally boulders with stones and rocks are also used.
The plants that are normally found in the rock gardens are smaller. Their usual height is less than 6 meters. So that the rocks are not covered, these plants are grown on the ground or in special containers. The plants that grow in rock gardens usually prefer less water and well-drained soil.
The most common type of rock garden is the one in which small and large rocks are arranged in the form of a stack, between which there are small gaps, so that the plant can be rooted there. Some of these gardens are designed to house bonsai, while others are designed to look like natural rock outcroppings.
The stones are oriented so that the plants and litter are often used to hide the joints between the stones. Such alpine gardens were well known in Victorian times. They were usually designed and built by skilled professional landscape architects and a team of gardeners.
