To everyone’s astonishment, a small, furry creature peeked out—a kitten with soft gray fur and bright blue eyes. It playfully pawed at the air as if completely oblivious to the hundreds of eyes watching its debut.
Laughter erupted from the guests, their tension dissolving into amusement. Emily let out a breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding and scooped up the kitten, holding it close. The kitten purred contentedly, snuggling into the folds of her dress. It was clear that the little stowaway had somehow found its way into her gown just before the ceremony.
