The supervisor nodded, visibly nervous now. Daniel led him to a quiet corner of the store. “What’s your name?” he asked.
“Uh, it’s Steve, sir,” the supervisor replied, sweating slightly.
“Steve, it’s clear there’s an issue here,” Daniel began, keeping his voice measured. “Our employees are our greatest asset. They should feel supported, not bullied. Can you explain why Kendra was in tears?”
Steve shifted uncomfortably, looking down. “She’s been having personal issues, sir. It’s been affecting her work, and I’ve told her to handle it outside of work hours. We can’t afford distractions, especially now.”
