Daniel removed his cap, revealing his face. The supervisor’s eyes widened in surprise. “Mr. Grayson! I-I didn’t know you were visiting today.”
Ignoring the man’s flustered demeanor, Daniel turned his attention to Kendra, who was still trying to compose herself. “Are you okay?” he asked softly.
Kendra looked at him, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and uncertainty. “I’m fine, sir. I’m sorry for causing a scene,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
Daniel shook his head. “You have nothing to apologize for,” he assured her. He then looked back at the supervisor. “I’d like to have a word with you in private, please.”
